The installtion of the FASS STK-1001 is used to by pass the OEM fuel pickup points. The FASS STK-1001 will not interfere with the OEM vehicles Fuel Guage. The FASS/HPFP will not draw through the intank pump. So you will need to install a Suction Tube Kit. (STK-1001)  The Suction tube kits allows the fuel to be picked up at a point in the fuel tank with virtually no restriction in flow and minimal friction loss. This allows the FASS Pump or FASS HPFP to function at its highest potential flow rates. Because of the higher fuel flow these systems have to offer, you may encounter stock fuel
module problems. STK-1001 will solve these problems. The FASS STK-1001 is installed by drilling a hole in the top of your tank to install the pick up. You just leave the pump in the tank and don't mess with it. It will be unplugged when you plug in the FASS harness up at the engine.

In order to get the best performance from your FASS System you need to have an adequate supply of fuel from the fuel tank.
FASS Systems that are hooked up directly to the OEM fuel port on top of tank will have reduced flow of fuel. Any FASS System that is designed to move high volumes of fuel needs to have the FASS STK-1001 Suction Tube Kit installed with the system. By installing the FASS STK-1001 Suction Tube Kit in the tank you are insuring that your FASS System will get the maximum flow of fuel starting at the tank.
