The cleaning interval will depend on your driving conditions. It is recommended that you check the condition of the filter element every time you change your engine oil. Servicing your filter more frequently will result in better engine performance and mileage. At a minimum you should check the condition of the filter every time you change your oil. The filter should be serviced every 12,000 miles to insure the proper performance under normal driving conditions. Operating your vehicle off road or in dusty conditions will require more frequent service intervals.
