KLM Performance has put together a user guide to help explain the recently released new part numbers from FASS.
This guide will explain in detail the NEW PART NUMBERS and THE OLD PART Numbers to the FASS Fuel Pump Models.
Understanding the new FASS part numbers only takes a few moments. All of the NEW FASS part numbers start with an alphabetical abbreviation for the Pump Series it represents.
The New Pump Series are as follows:
* The 150 Series pumps are now known as the HD Series. All Heavy Duty Pumps will start with an HD prefix.
* All former Versatile Application Pumps are now grouped into the new HD series Pumps.
* The 95 Series pumps are now known as the Titanium Series. All Titanium Series Pumps will start with a T prefix.
The HPFP or High Pressure Fuel Pumps are now known as the Fuel Pump Series. The Fuel Pump Series will now be designated with the following prefixes to specify the type of pump they are. These pumps are either Adjustable or Non-Adjustable pumps.
* FA for all Adjustable Pumps.
* FO for all non-adjustable Pumps.
The DDRP – Direct Dodge Replacement Pumps – consists of two products:
* DDRP 02 for the 1998.5 – 2002 Dodge Rams
* DDRP 04 for the 2003 – 2004 Dodge Rams
The entirely new Platinum Series Pumps will start with a P prefix.
Explanation of Alphabetical Prefixes
The T part number, such as T D07 150G, represents the titanium series, dodge @ 150gph
The next alphabetical letter is an abbreviation for the Truck Manufacturer of the pump series it represents.
* D is for DODGE-specific models
* F is for FORD-specific models
* C is for CHEVY / GMC models
After the letter prefix is the former part number for the model years that the pump pertains to. The model year part numbers have now been abbreviated to a two-digit code instead of the former four digit code. Here is an example. The 1007 code for the 2005 to 2009 Dodge Rams is now just 07. So in essence it refers to what the part number used to be: 1007.
The last set of numbers expresses the FUEL FLOW RATE of that specific pump.
* 080G is 80 gallows per hour
* 090G is 90 gallons per hour
* 095G is 95 gallons per hour
* 150G is 150 gallons per hour
* 200G is 200 gallons per hour
* 220G is 220 gallons per hour
* 260G is 260 gallons per hour
Guide to Older FASS Fuel Pump Models
All older FASS Pumps models are listed in a manner which states their three main directives in the sequence of numbers.
Here is an example of a typical FASS Pump 95/95-3010
The First number is the FASS Model Number. This tells you the size of the filter the unit has in its application. This will be one of two possible FASS Series numbers. If it’s a 95 Series then this FASS pump has the smaller sized FASS Filters. The 95 series includes a set of standard filters which are more than adequate for most applications. The 150 Series includes a set of industrial strength filters most adequate for industrial vehicles that are subjected to dirty fuel or environments or log a great deal of miles. If it’s a 150 Series then this unit will have the larger FASS Filters.
The Second series of number tells you the FASS Pump Flow Rate. All of the FASS Pump Fuel Flow Rates are expressed in Gallons Per Hour/GPH.
There are 5 possible FASS Pump Fuel Flow Rates.
* 95 GPH pumps will support stock to 600 HP applications.
* 150 GPH pumps will support stock to 900 HP applications.
All FASS Pumps above the 150 Series are for Extreme Plus and Modified CP3 Applications
* 180 GPH pumps will support 600 to 1000 HP applications.
* 200 GPH pumps will support 1000 to 1200 HP applications.
* 240 GPH pumps will support 1200+ HP Race applications.
The Third number tells you the FASS Pump Application Number ( XX/XX – 3010). FASS Pumps come complete with all of the necessary hardware for a vehicle specific application. This is why FASS pumps use the application number. Below is a listing of the application codes and the vehicles years the pump was designed for.
Please note the Versatile application products can be applied to virtually any type of diesel motor as long as they are matched to the necessary fuel requirement of that motor.
If you have any questions about the necessary fuel requirement please call KLM Performance.
